Storytelling Coaching
Also known as executive communication coaching: helping leaders and individuals find, shape, and deliver the stories that make people trust them and act.
Whether you're trying to become a dynamic, memorable communicator or prepare for a specific moment, like a keynote, TEDx talk, all-hands, or customer presentation, coaching starts wherever you are and works toward the same goal: you owning the skill, not renting it each time you need it.
Presentation & Story Coaching for a Specific Moment
For individuals preparing a specific presentation, keynote, book, or workshop. Whether you have a draft of existing stories you want coaching around or you're starting from a blank page, there are three options for individual coaching:
LIGHT TOUCH (2 SESSIONS)
Virtual sessions that are helpful when you have a start to the stories you want to tell and want help honing them.
Sessions are used to review and refine existing stories and presentations.
HANDS-ON COACHING (6 SESSIONS)
Virtual sessions that are helpful when you have an upcoming presentation or event where you want to share a story.
Sessions are used to build a toolkit of stories, develop a keynote or presentation, or structure stories for a book.
VIP DAY
immersive, in-person experience that are helpful when you need to go deep and prepare for a specific event or message.
The session is used to uncover your message, stories and structure of the talk.
2 . Executive Communication Coaching (Ongoing)
Presence and communication are leadership skills, not personality traits. They determine your ability to influence, inspire, and build confidence in the people you lead, and like any skill, they can be learned and refined.
Executive Communication Coaching is for leaders who want to develop that capability over time, not just prepare for one event.
TAILORED TO THE EXECUTIVE
An intake process identifies specific needs and goals, so coaching is designed around the executive. Topics often include structuring a message, building a toolkit of stories, storytelling with data, presence and delivery, and navigating Q&A.
ONGOING COACHING
Sessions are held every two weeks for three to six months, reviewing real communications and building habits that stick.
GROUNDED IN REAL WORK
Sessions review actual presentations and communications, not hypothetical exercises. Concepts get applied between sessions and tested against real upcoming moments.
3 . Conferences and Annual Meetings
When you're planning an annual meeting or conference, it's important that the audience experiences meaningful, engaging content. Presenters often need coaching on the development and delivery of their content to be memorable and engaging.
Karen offers a series of services to help your event succeed:
ONE-ON-ONE COACHING
Working with presenters to help them create and deliver engaging presentations and stories.
ALIGNING MESSAGING
Working with presenters and conference organizers to ensure there is a through-line in messaging and the presentations don’t contradict, but build on each other.
WHAT MAKES A GREAT PRESENTATION WEBINAR
Virtual session held months before the event to prepare presenters for developing their content by sharing the science of communication and key steps for building a compelling talk.
ONSITE COACHING
From shakeout sessions to one-on-one tips, helping presenters feel prepared as they deliver.

What Makes Karen’s Approach Different?
Karen Eber is a TED speaker, bestselling author of The Perfect Story, and the CEO and Chief Storyteller of Eber Leadership Group.
She has educated and inspired more than three million people globally, and her TED Talk on the neuroscience of storytelling has been viewed by millions.
Twenty years of leadership experience from both sides of the desk: Karen served as a Head of Culture and Chief Learning Officer at GE and Head of Leadership Development at Deloitte before advising leaders on it.
A neuroscience-based method, the Five Factory Settings of the Brain, that explains why a message lands, not just what to say.
Structured as a genuine partnership. The goal is capability, not dependency. This isn't ghostwriting or a polished deliverable handed back. Leaders who go through this process consistently report that storytelling becomes a skill they own.

Frequently Asked Questions About Coaching Services
-
Before any engagement, Karen has a “chemistry conversation” to confirm it's a good fit on both sides.
-
Both, which is really the point. Karen spent 20 years leading culture and leadership development inside GE and Deloitte before she ever coached anyone on communication. That means she's not just working on how you say something, she's thinking about why it needs to land: what trust you're building, what change you're driving, what you actually want people to do after they hear you. A coach who only works on delivery can make you more polished. Karen works on the whole picture, because the moment you're preparing for is rarely just about the words.
-
Kind, practical, and direct. The goal is a polished version of you, built on what you already do well, not a generic template.
-
Coaching is collaborative. You'll be thinking, creating, and practicing throughout. Karen is hands-on in helping structure your stories and firm up your messaging, but she doesn't write or perform the work for you, and she doesn't build slides.
-
Coaching covers the content and delivery of a talk, not PowerPoint decks or other visual or media production.
-
A speechwriter produces content. This work helps you build the narrative architecture and the skill behind everything you communicate, so it holds up across formats and audiences, not just one event.
-
Corporate engagements are scoped around a specific organizational need, with tailored duration and, often, assessments and stakeholder interviews.
-
Yes, sessions are typically recorded or transcribed so you can refer back to them; recordings are shared only with the person being coached.
